The Effects of Heat on the Cyclic Behavior of Retrofitted Concrete Columns (by Steel Plates and CFRP)

In this research, in addition to ensuring the accuracy of numerical simulations, a 3D reinforced concrete column is numerically modeled three conditions, including non-retrofitted state, as well two states retrofitted with steel plates and CFRP. The coupled temperature-displacement analysis these columns conducted under cyclic lateral loading various heat levels, effects both retrofits on behavior are studied compared. According results study, temperature rise, forces energies increase column, plates, FRP. This even more significant at 500°C, particularly plates. Besides, retrofitting (compared FRP plates) causes substantial sensitivity during loading.
